Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and oversee all phases of the project lifecycle — from feasibility and design through construction, commissioning, and handover.
• Coordinate with civil, mechanical, electrical, and hydrology engineers to ensure technical soundness of all project components including headworks, penstock, powerhouse, and transmission lines.
• Liaise with government bodies, the Department of Electricity Development (DoED), local authorities, and community stakeholders in the region.
• Manage project schedules, cost control, procurement, and contract administration.
• Supervise environmental and social safeguard compliance in accordance with Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) requirements.
• Monitor construction quality, safety standards, and risk management throughout the project.
• Prepare and present regular progress reports to project owners, investors, and relevant authorities.
• Facilitate resettlement and community engagement programs for project-affected households in and around the project site.
Qualifications Required:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Hydropower Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in hydropower or infrastructure project management in Nepal or similar mountainous terrain and at least 1 project completions as project manager.
• Proven knowledge of Nepal's hydropower licensing, regulatory framework, and grid connection procedures.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in project management tools and reporting systems.
